Training Ride (A) with Eastern Bloc

  • WEBSITE: http://www.easternbloc.net/

The faster group will do an extra loop before the regroup point. From the regroup point both groups will ride back to the start. Focused on improving bike handling skills, group etiquette, pace-line skills and improving fitness. This ride will have long periods the upper heart rate thresholds.
  • If you are new to A rides, it is strongly recommended that you ride a few B rides prior to attempting an A ride, feel free to talk with the B or A ride leaders about the differences in pace. Compared to a B ride, this A ride will not only have a greater pace, it has longer stretches between rest/regroup, a large portion of the ride is done in pace lines, and much of that pace line is wheel-to-wheel for increased aerodynamics and efficiency. Approx 15-20% of the B riders either ride the A already or have the skills and fitness to keep pace with the A ride.
  • NOTE: Helmets are required. Headphones/ear buds are not allowed. Non-members must sign waiver in order to ride.
